Alex Stuart was one of the pen names used by British-born novelist Violet Vivian Finlay Stuart (1914–1986). She wrote under several names, including Vivian Stuart, V. A. Stuart, Barbara Allen, Fiona Finlay, Robyn Stuart, and William Stuart Long.
As Alex Stuart, she specialized in medical, historical, travel, and contemporary romance novels, many of which were published by Mills & Boon. Her novels reflect her extensive travels and wartime service with the British Army in Burma during the Second World War.
