Alison Roberts (born 1956) is a New Zealand novelist best known for writing contemporary medical romance fiction. She was born and raised in Dunedin, New Zealand, and spent parts of her childhood in both London and Washington, D.C. After training as a primary school teacher, she later worked as:

Paramedic

These careers gave her extensive medical knowledge, which became a defining feature of her fiction. Roberts began writing while living in Glasgow, Scotland, where her first manuscript was a medical thriller with strong romantic elements. She eventually shifted her focus to medical romance and became one of Harlequin Mills & Boon’s most prolific authors.

She has written well over 100 novels, many set in hospitals, emergency services, and rescue organizations. In recent years she has lived in a village in southern France, where she continues to write.
