Ally Blake is an Australian bestselling romance novelist known for contemporary romance published primarily through Harlequin/Mills & Boon.
She was born in Millmerran, Queensland, Australia, and grew up in Queensland. Blake graduated from St Peters Lutheran College in Brisbane and earned a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in English from the University of Queensland. Before becoming a full-time novelist, she worked as a professional cheerleader for the Brisbane Broncos rugby league team and the Gold Coast Rollers basketball team, danced on television, and served as secretary of the Queensland branch of the Australian Cinematographers Society.
Blake’s debut novel, The Wedding Wish, was published by Harlequin Mills & Boon in 2003. It received a nomination for Romantic Times Best First Series Romance. Since then, she has written dozens of romance novels that have been translated into numerous languages and have sold more than four million copies worldwide. Her work is characterized by warm, humorous, emotionally engaging contemporary romances. In 2024, she won the RUBY Romantic Book of the Year Award. She lives in the western suburbs of Brisbane with her husband, three children, and their pets.
