Amanda Browning is a British romance novelist best known for writing contemporary romance novels for the Mills & Boon and Harlequin Enterprises romance lines.
– Born and raised in Essex, England, where she continues to live in her family’s longtime home.
– She is the third of four children and has a twin sister.
– An avid reader from childhood, she developed a love of storytelling early in life.
– Before becoming a full-time novelist, she worked in libraries.
– After leaving library work, she decided to try writing romance fiction following a colleague’s suggestion.
– Her first two manuscripts were rejected, but her third novel was accepted by Mills & Boon and published in 1987.
– She has remained single and has often mentioned enjoying gardening, counted cross-stitch, genealogy research, and spending time with her extended family, including numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews.
