Andrea Parnell is an American romance novelist best known for Gothic, historical, Western, and contemporary romance fiction. She began publishing in the mid-1980s and has had more than one million copies of her books in print. Her debut novel, Dark Splendor (1986), launched a new line of “Sexy Gothic” romances and earned the Romantic Times Award for Best New Gothic Author. Over her career she has also written short fiction and magazine articles, taught creative writing through a community college, served as president of the Georgia Authors Network, and has been an active member of Novelists, Inc. (NINC). Many of her novels are set in her home state of Georgia. She has received both the Maggie Award and Romantic Times Reviewers’ Choice Awards for her work.
