Anne Beaumont is a British novelist who has lived on the Isle of Wight, England. She began her writing career working in magazine publishing as a fiction editor, where she selected, edited, and condensed stories for serialization. She has credited this experience with teaching her how to construct strong, character-driven novels. Rather than beginning with a plot, she has said she typically starts with a heroine and then develops the hero and story around the characters. She is the mother of three children and has written both contemporary and historical romance fiction.
Her contemporary romances were published primarily by Harlequin/Mills & Boon during the late 1980s and early 1990s, while her historical romances appeared under the name Rosina Pyatt.
