Anne Mather is the pen name of Mildred Grieveson, one of the most successful British romance novelists of the modern era. She was born in England on 10 October 1936 (some secondary sources incorrectly state 1946, but the 1936 date is generally accepted). She began writing stories as a child and, encouraged by her husband, completed her first novel, “Caroline“, which was published in 1965.
