Amanda Carpenter a pseudonym of Teddy Harrison, later known as Thea Harrison best known for Harlequin/Mills & Boon romance novels before writing paranormal romance as Thea Harrison.

Teddy Harrison wrote contemporary romance novels under the pen name Amanda Carpenter during the 1980s and 1990s. After taking time away from publishing to earn graduate degrees in Philanthropic Studies and Library Information Science, she returned to writing under the name Thea Harrison, becoming a bestselling author of the Elder Races paranormal romance series. She lives in northern California.
