Andrea Blake who wrote romance novels for Harlequin/Mills & Boon was a pseudonym of British novelist Jay Blakeney, better known as Anne Weale.

Jay Blakeney (20 June 1929 – 24 October 2007) was a British journalist and prolific romance novelist. She wrote under the pen names Anne Weale and Andrea Blake. Before becoming a full-time novelist, she worked as a newspaper reporter and magazine writer. She began publishing romance fiction in 1955 and ultimately wrote more than 88 novels for Mills & Boon/Harlequin between 1955 and 2002. At the time of her death, she was working on an autobiography titled 88 Heroes…1 Mr. Right. Her novels were translated into numerous languages and were frequently set in European and Caribbean locations.
